The NCSSM Extended Learning launched this professional learning cohort in 2023 as a new initiative tied to the second NCSSM campus in Morganton. Designed to support new STEM educators teaching grades 5-12 in Western and Northwestern North Carolina, the cohort welcomes beginning teachers (BTs), lateral entry educators, and those transitioning to new content areas. This free professional learning opportunity provides up to 10 PD credit hours. Participants engage in a dynamic blend of in-person and virtual sessions, meeting three times annually on the Morganton campus and three times virtually.
