Introducing a Virtual Professional Learning Cohort for NC STEM Teachers!
Join a statewide professional learning cohort designed for North Carolina STEM educators in grades 5-12 who want to implement practical, research-based teaching strategies that enhance student engagement and achievement. This fully virtual professional development series consists of six interactive 90-minute Zoom meeting sessions throughout the 2025-2026 school year, providing educators with classroom-tested approaches that bridge theory and practice.
2025-2026 Theme: Trauma-Informed Pedagogy and Practice
This year’s cohort will focus on trauma-informed teaching practices, equipping educators with strategies to create supportive, structured, and high-expectation learning environments that help all students thrive. Participants will explore how trauma affects learning and behavior, effective instructional adaptations, and engagement techniques that promote resilience and academic success.
